Terms of Use

Effective November 1, 2026

Mechanic Made Simple is operated by AQC Technologies LLC, a Texas limited liability company ("we" and "us"). These terms are an agreement between you and us. They apply when you use mechanicmadesimple.com or buy our guides. By buying or using them, you agree to these terms.

What you're buying

Our guides are digital PDF files, in English. Right after purchase, we email you a link to your library, where you can download them anytime. Prices are in US dollars and are a one-time payment; there is no subscription. Sales tax is added at checkout where the law requires it.

How you can use the guides

When you buy, you get a license to use the guides in your own business. You can keep the files on your own devices, print copies for your office or van, copy the workbook's fill-in pages for your own quotes, and share a page with your own helper.

You may not resell, upload, or otherwise publish the files, or use them to create a course, class, or competing product. The guides and everything in them are © AQC Technologies LLC.

An independent guide

Mechanic Made Simple is an independent guide for people running a mobile mechanic business. It explains rules in plain words and is not legal, tax or accounting advice. It is not affiliated with any licensing board, government agency or vehicle maker.

We are not affiliated with or endorsed by any state repair bureau, the EPA, OSHA, the IRS, ASE, any vehicle maker or any government agency. Those names are used only to say where the public rules and guidance in the guides come from.

Using the guides

The guides explain how repair registration, estimates, pricing, taxes, payroll, insurance, safety, fluids, selling, helpers and common mobile repair jobs generally work in the United States. Laws, registrations and local rules differ by state and change over time, and the guides show state rules only as labelled examples. Before you rely on a rule for an estimate, a registration, refrigerant or fluid handling, a tax filing, a hire or a safety decision, check your state's current rules and ask your lawyer, accountant or insurance agent. The example prices and rates in the guides are examples, not quotes for your market.

We work hard to keep every page accurate. If you spot an error, please email us and we'll fix it.

No promise of results

The guides describe methods, not outcomes. We don't promise that any method will lead to any particular result, such as winning a bid, keeping a client, a plant surviving or passing an inspection or exam. If the kit isn't for you, our 7-day money-back guarantee (mechanicmadesimple.com/refund) applies.

Limitation of liability

The guides and website are provided "as is." To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for your order.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page, with the date at the top, is the one that applies.
